Classroom Assistant - Muna British Academy (UAEN)

**Job Description** Aldar Education are seeking Classroom Assistants UAE National for Muna British Academy for Academic Year 2026/27 to support our growing family of owned and operated schools in the UAE. Due to considerable growth in student numbers we are looking for enthusiastic and engaging Classroom Assistants of all levels to join us on a permanent basis. Since our establishment in 2009, we have built and maintained a strong reputation for excellence, consistently achieving an “Outstanding” ADEK rating since 2015\. In August 2025, Muna British Academy relocated to a state\-of\-the\-art campus in the prestigious Saadiyat Lagoons community. This move has enabled us to expand our provision, now welcoming students from FS1 to Year 7, with plans to extend to Year 13 in the near future within an inspiring environment that supports our mission of delivering exceptional education. Successful candidates will be closely aligned with our core values and ethos and will demonstrate a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values and culture of the region. **Responsibilities** **Main Duties:** * Provide support for individual pupils / groups of pupils inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in a range of activities during the school day and to provide for their social, emotional and physical well\-being * Be pro\-active in matters relating to health and safety * Assist in the implementation of individual education programmes for individual pupils / groups of pupils and help monitor their progress * Support pupils with additional support needs e.g. emotional and behavioural difficulties and help to develop their social skills * Assist class teachers with maintaining pupil records * Prepare and present displays of pupils’ work * Support class teachers in photocopying and other tasks in order to support teaching * Support the aims of the school; comply with the requirements of health and safety, other relevant legislation and school policies. **Specific Duties:** * Academic assistance. * Giving group instruction as prescribed by the teacher/providing individual instruction. * Demonstrating various instructional activities. * Monitoring work assigned by teacher – checking and correcting pupils’ work while in progress. * Keeping pupils on task. * Praising and reinforcing achievements of pupils/reporting pupil progress to teacher. * Reorganising materials at the end of the day. * Checking attendance. * Supervising pupils in the classrooms and other locations. * Participating in development of behaviour policy/promoting pupils self esteem. * Disciplining misbehaviour in line with the whole school policy. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications :** * Minimum secondary school certificate. * At least two\-year experience in a school setting. * English language skills according to the school curriculum **Minimum Experience:** * UAE National with a minimum secondary school certificate / Bachelors. **Job Specific Knowledge \& Skills :** * Previous experience working with students whom English is not their first language. * Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child. * A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well\-being of children. * Recent and consistent involvement in extra\-curricular activities. * Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age and ethnic background. * A positive and solution\-focused attitude to working life. * A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.
