Sun Hance Pvt Ltd seeks a skilled Civil / Mechanical Engineer to plan, design, execute, and supervise civil works specifically for solar EPC power projects. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all civil activities such as foundations, mounting structure bases, roads, drainage systems, and related infrastructure are completed safely, on time, within budget, and conform to quality standards and project specifications. This position requires close coordination with electrical teams and contractors, effective site supervision, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. The role includes managing a small team of one person to support site operations and project execution.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience and proven expertise in civil and structural engineering for utility-scale, commercial, and industrial solar photovoltaic projects. They perform detailed review of engineering drawings, bills of quantities, and technical specifications, while verifying field conditions to ensure compliance with local building codes and engineering standards. The role involves overseeing multiple site activities, conducting quality inspections, managing material testing, and maintaining comprehensive project documentation. The Civil / Mechanical Engineer actively participates in safety programs and provides practical recommendations to resolve on-site technical challenges, ensuring seamless project progress from planning through handover.
Responsibilities
- Execute civil and structural works for utility-scale, commercial, and industrial solar photovoltaic projects according to project schedules.
- Review and analyze engineering drawings, bills of quantities, and technical specifications prior to execution to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
- Plan and monitor daily site activities, coordinating closely with electrical teams and other stakeholders for seamless project integration.
- Design and review civil and structural drawings and layouts, verifying survey levels, soil conditions, and foundation placements before construction begins.
- Ensure all civil engineering works comply with local building codes, industry standards, and client-specific requirements.
- Manage contractors, subcontractors, and site labor, monitoring productivity to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify adherence to quality assurance protocols for reinforcement, concrete, formwork, and structural installations.
- Resolve technical issues that arise on-site by recommending practical and safe engineering solutions to maintain progress and standards.
- Coordinate material inspections and quality testing activities, maintaining proper documentation and records for audits and compliance.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, including active participation in safety meetings and inspections.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports detailing site activities, challenges, and accomplishments.
- Maintain comprehensive site documentation including measurement books, work completion reports, inspection records, and as-built drawings.
- Support project handover by ensuring accurate documentation and completion of all civil engineering works to client satisfaction.
- Supervise a team member to support site operations, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of project execution.
