Civil Estimation Engineer

*We are a diversified Main Contractor hiring Civil Estimation Engineer*

*Key Responsibilities:*

• Study tender documents including drawings, project specification, BOQ, scope of work, contract conditions and find out discrepancies and request clarifications from client / consultant.
• Visit projects sites to gather essential information.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers / subcontractors securing best deals.
• Advise lower level estimators of company estimating methods/procedures and provides estimate breakdown direction
• Review estimates prepared by lower level estimators to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the scope of work, including those developed by suppliers / subcontractors that may need revising to reflect construction practices
• Prepare conceptual and definitive cost estimates to meet project goals, such as setting work hours, sequencing tasks, and obtaining materials.
• Manage pre-qualification and tender submissions.
• Keeping track of the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques.
• Offer continuous mentoring and training to subordinate estimators.

*Requirements:*

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5-year experience as Civil Estimation Engineer in main contractor company based in UAE
• Strong MS Office skills and demonstrable competency with CCS Candy
• Strong knowledge of quantity take-offs, BOQs, tendering, cost estimation, and rate analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with CCS Candy or similar estimation software is an advantage.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and tendering practices.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
