Job Description
**NOW HIRING: Civil / Structural Forensic Engineer (PE)**
A well\-established forensic engineering firm is seeking an experienced
**Civil/Structural Engineer (PE)**
to investigate structural failures, construction defects, property damage, and building performance issues.
This role combines
**field investigation, structural analysis, and expert reporting**
for insurance carriers, attorneys, and private clients. You’ll conduct site inspections, determine
**cause and origin of structural damage**
, evaluate code compliance, and produce clear, defensible engineering reports.
**Requirements**
* BS in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
* **PE License required**
(SC preferred or ability to obtain)
* **8\+ years structural engineering experience**
* Background in building design, construction, or structural analysis
**Highly Valued**
* Forensic engineering or insurance investigation experience
* Knowledge of wood, steel, concrete, and masonry systems
* Building code interpretation and structural analysis
