𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀 \& 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 \| 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 Location: Cheshire \| Competitive Salary \+ Company Car \+ Bonus Scheme I’m currently working with a growing in\-house civils team within a well\-established UK house builder who are looking to appoint a Roads \& Drainage Design Engineer. This is a strong opportunity for a Civil Engineering graduate or early\-career engineer with around 1–3 years’ experience who is looking to develop within residential development. The role offers structured training, hands\-on project exposure, and clear progression within a supportive technical team. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 * Support and produce designs for highways, drainage, utilities, and SuDS systems * Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, and technical reports * Use design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or PDS, and MicroDrainage/Flow * Interpret topographical surveys and site investigation data * Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities * Assist with project planning, fees, and budgeting * Ensure compliance with relevant UK legislation including the Highways Act and Water Industry Act 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 * Degree\-qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) * 1–3 years’ experience in roads and drainage design (UK experience preferred) * Strong technical ability and attention to detail * Confident communicator and team player * Interest in working towards ICE Chartership is desirable 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 * Hybrid working and flexible hours * Strong CPD and structured career development * Option to buy additional holidays * Cycle\-to\-work scheme and wellbeing initiatives * Supportive, collaborative team culture with regular social and community events 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱?
