**The Role**
We are seeking a highly qualified
**Chief Resident Engineer**
to join our team for a major hydropower project in Pakistan. This position is responsible for supervising all construction activities, offering technical guidance, and ensuring that project execution aligns with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
* Lead and supervise construction activities for hydropower project components, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
* Act as the Engineer’s representative on site, coordinating with contractors, consultants, and relevant stakeholders.
* Monitor project progress, quality, health \& safety, and environmental compliance during construction.
* Review submissions including work programs, method statements, shop drawings, and technical proposals, and provide recommendations.
* Provide technical guidance and issue instructions to site teams to resolve construction\-related issues effectively.
* Ensure timely reporting on construction progress, risks, issues, and mitigation measures.
* Support project management in achieving time, cost, quality, and safety objectives.
With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
* Holds a graduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university (a master’s in construction management is regarded as a plus).
* At least 20 years of total professional experience is required, including a minimum of 10 years working in construction roles associated with hydropower projects.
* A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience serving as Chief Resident Engineer, Team Leader, or Deputy Team Leader on comparable dams and hydropower projects.
* Extensive experience in supervising sites, administering contracts, and managing construction for large hydropower projects.
* Excellent abilities in reporting, communication, and resolving problems.
