This position is responsible for supervising all construction activities, offering technical guidance, and ensuring that project execution aligns with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements. * Lead and supervise construction activities for hydropower project components, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements. * Act as the Engineer’s representative on site, coordinating with contractors, consultants, and relevant stakeholders. * Monitor project progress, quality, health \& safety, and environmental compliance during construction. * Review submissions including work programs, method statements, shop drawings, and technical proposals, and provide recommendations. * Provide technical guidance and issue instructions to site teams to resolve construction\-related issues effectively. * Ensure timely reporting on construction progress, risks, issues, and mitigation measures. * Support project management in achieving time, cost, quality, and safety objectives. With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work. Suitable applicants will have/be: * Holds a graduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university (a master’s in construction management is regarded as a plus). * At least 20 years of total professional experience is required, including a minimum of 10 years working in construction roles associated with hydropower projects. * A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience serving as Chief Resident Engineer, Team Leader, or Deputy Team Leader on comparable dams and hydropower projects. * Extensive experience in supervising sites, administering contracts, and managing construction for large hydropower projects. * Excellent abilities in reporting, communication, and resolving problems.
