We are seeking an experienced
**Chief Accountant**
to take ownership of the accounting and reporting function across the group.
**The Role**
The Chief Accountant will play a key role in managing the financial reporting and accounting processes for a multi\-jurisdictional group of entities. The role combines
**hands\-on accounting, group reporting, and oversight of outsourced finance functions**
, working closely with the investment and management teams.

**Key Responsibilities**
**Group Accounting \& Bookkeeping**
* Supervise and review bookkeeping across all group entities in multiple jurisdictions
* Maintain a
**hands\-on approach**
to accounting processes and controls
* Ensure consistency and accuracy of accounting records across the group
**Statutory Reporting**
* Prepare and manage
**statutory accounts for all UK entities**
* Oversee statutory reporting for
**non\-UK entities**
, working with local accounting firms and service providers
* Coordinate audits where required
**Management \& Group Reporting**
* Prepare the
**monthly group reporting pack**
, including:
* Management accounts
* Financial analysis
* Variance commentary
* Maintain and update a
**12\-month rolling cash flow forecast for the group**
**Portfolio Oversight**
* Oversee the finance function of
**direct investment portfolio companies**
* Review financial reporting from operating businesses
* Support improvements to financial processes and reporting standards where necessary
**Process \& Controls**
* Strengthen financial controls and reporting procedures across the group
* Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and advisors in multiple jurisdictions
**Candidate Profile**
**Experience**
* **7–12\+ years**
of accounting experience
* Experience in
**multi\-entity and multi\-jurisdictional structures**
* Background in
**family office, investment firm, private equity, or professional services**
preferred
* Experience managing
**statutory reporting in the UK**
* Familiarity with
**overseeing outsourced accounting internationally**
**Qualifications**
* Qualified accountant (
**ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent**
)
**Skills**
* Strong
**technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP)**
* Advanced
**Excel and financial modelling skills**
* Ability to manage multiple entities and stakeholders
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Comfortable working in a
**hands\-on, entrepreneurial environment**
