Our client Agay Barho is looking for a Charity \& Construction Accountant in Rawalpindi The ideal candidate will also bring expertise in charity accounting, managing financial reporting in accordance with Charity Commission rules and SORP guidelines. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of both commercial and charitable sectors within the organization. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate bookkeeping records, preparing management accounts, and handling complex tax compliance tasks. Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to resolve tax\-related queries efficiently are essential. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and financial stability of Agay Barho by ensuring seamless financial operations and regulatory compliance. **Responsibilities** * Maintain accurate bookkeeping records including sales, purchases, bank reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure precise financial tracking. * Prepare and submit VAT returns in full compliance with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) regulations, ensuring timely and accurate filings. * Oversee and administer Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) processes, including deductions and payments, according to legal requirements. * Prepare monthly management accounts that provide detailed insights into financial performance to support business decision\-making. * Assist with the preparation of year\-end financial statements, ensuring they meet all statutory and regulatory standards. * Manage correspondence with HMRC, resolving tax queries promptly and maintaining positive regulatory relationships. * Maintain and reconcile Director Loan Accounts (DLA) accurately to reflect the company's financial position. * Support comprehensive tax compliance activities, including Corporation Tax and Self\-Assessment filings to meet all statutory deadlines. * Maintain detailed financial records for charity organizations in accordance with UK laws and regulations. * Prepare charity accounts and financial reports following Charity Commission guidelines and the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP). * Assist in creating transparent financial reports for trustees and regulatory bodies to ensure accountability and compliance. * Utilize accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks effectively to streamline bookkeeping and reporting processes. * Manage multiple clients and deadlines, prioritizing tasks to deliver accurate financial services under pressure. * Maintain a strong understanding of payroll processing and financial reporting to provide comprehensive accounting support. * Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and HMRC, ensuring clarity in financial matters and resolving issues efficiently. * Demonstrate proactive problem\-solving skills to identify and address potential compliance risks and financial discrepancies.
