Location: Dubai, UAE

We are building a scalable, secure, customer-facing SaaS platform for device financing, control, and lifecycle management. We are looking for a hands-on Backend Engineer to help build the server-side foundation of the platform — including APIs, backend services, data models, business workflows, integrations, background jobs, authentication and authorisation, audit trails, observability and production-grade reliability.

This is a builder role within Technology / Product Engineering. You will work closely with frontend, mobile, DevOps, architecture, product, and security stakeholders to turn platform workflows into secure, reliable, and maintainable backend services.

What you will own:

• Backend services and API development
• Device financing, control, and lifecycle-management workflows
• Secure API design, validation, error handling, and documentation
• Data models, database migrations, transactions, and data integrity
• Authentication, authorisation, tenant isolation, and audit logging
• Integrations with identity, payments, notifications, device management, and partner systems
• Background jobs, scheduled tasks, queues, and event-driven workflows
• Unit, integration, and API tests for critical backend services
• Backend observability, logging, metrics, and production diagnostics
• Service documentation, API contracts, and troubleshooting guidance

We are looking for someone with hands-on backend engineering experience building production software systems.

Relevant experience may include: TypeScript / Node.js, Java / Kotlin, Python, Go, C# / .NET, REST or GraphQL APIs, OpenAPI / Swagger, PostgreSQL or similar databases, Redis, queues or event streaming, Docker, AWS / Azure / GCP, OAuth2 / OIDC, automated testing, observability and production debugging.

Experience in

SaaS, fintech, telecom, device management, security, lending, payments, regulated platforms, or customer-facing API products would be a strong advantage.

This role suits someone who can bring structure without bureaucracy: practical, disciplined, hands-on and comfortable building in an early-stage environment where the platform and engineering practices are still maturing.
