Role - Backend Engineer, Node.js Platform

Location - Abu Dhabi

Salary - 15 K AED

Owns server side application logic, REST APIs, and the relational data layer for product

services.

Primary Stack - TypeScript, Node.js, Express, Bun, Drizzle ORM, Prisma,

PostgreSQL

Required Skills

• Strong TypeScript and Node.js fundamentals, including async and event loop behavior.
• Production experience building REST APIs with Express.
• Deep PostgreSQL skills, including schema design, indexing, transactions, and query

optimization.

• Hands on experience with Drizzle ORM or Prisma, including migrations and type safe

query authoring.

• Understanding of API design principles and authentication patterns such as JWT,

OAuth, or session based auth.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Bun's bundler, test runner, or package manager.
• Familiarity with both Drizzle ORM and Prisma.
• Background job or message queue experience.
• Basic React and TanStack experience is a bonus, though not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and build REST APIs in TypeScript using Express.
• Model relational data in PostgreSQL and manage schema migrations using Drizzle ORM

or Prisma.

• Own query performance, indexing strategy, and data integrity for owned services.
• Implement authentication, authorization, validation, and core business logic.
• Evaluate and pilot Bun as a runtime for latency sensitive services.
• Write integration tests against PostgreSQL.
