Backend Developer (Java) | Spring Boot | AWS | Microservices
Experience Required: 2–3 Years
About the Role
We are hiring a Backend Developer with hands-on experience in Java (J2EE), Spring Boot, and REST APIs to build and scale enterprise-grade backend services. You will work on a cloud-native platform supporting order booking, inventory management, cash van sales, and merchandising. Strong exposure to AWS, Docker, and CI/CD is required.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java (J2EE) and Spring Boot
- Build, version, and document RESTful APIs for frontend and service-to-service integrations
- Integrate AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Cognito, MSK/Kafka, IAM) into backend workflows
- Collaborate with frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to ship reliable releases
- Write clean, scalable, and testable code (unit testing, code reviews, best practices)
- Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git-based workflows
- Containerize services using Docker for consistent dev and deployment environments
- Troubleshoot production/staging issues and drive root-cause fixes
- Ensure backend performance, scalability, security, and uptime
Required Skills
- 2+ years of backend development experience in Java (J2EE)
- Strong Spring Boot experience and understanding of microservices architecture
- Proven REST API design and integration experience
- Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM; Cognito is a plus)
- Working knowledge of Docker and container-based deployments
- CI/CD exposure with Jenkins
- Proficient with Git; experience working in Agile teams using JIRA
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and production support mindset
Preferred (Plus Points)
- Domain exposure: order booking, inventory, merchandising, van sales, ERP integrations
- Kafka/MSK or other messaging/queue systems
- Spring Cloud Gateway, OAuth2/JWT authentication, Cognito-based auth flows
