AWS DevOps Engineer

**Responsibilities** This is a full\-time on\-site role for AWS. You’ll work with engineering teams to migrate and modernize applications on AWS. The role combines hands\-on delivery with automation, infrastructure as code, and operational ownership. A major part of the work focuses on replatforming existing workloads, building secure cloud foundations, streamlining deployments, and improving reliability through DevOps practices. You’ll also support existing services during the transition, making sure environments remain stable for users. **What You’ll Work On** * Building AWS environments for multi\-tenant or single\-tenant architectures (VPCs, subnets, EC2, RDS, S3, Load Balancers). * Replatforming or lifting\-and\-shifting on\-prem Windows or Linux workloads into AWS. * Designing secure connectivity between customer networks and AWS (VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway). * Implementing identity, access controls, and governance using IAM, AWS Organizations, SCPs and security baselines. * Creating infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation for consistent, repeatable environment provisioning. * Developing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS Code Pipeline, or similar. * Automating deployments, patching, configuration, and runtime operations. * Writing operational runbooks and building monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Guard Duty and Security Hub. * Supporting legacy applications during migration by troubleshooting, resolving defects and maintaining stability. * Relevant Technical Background A strong engineering foundation is key, along with real experience delivering in cloud environments. **You should have experience with:** * Designing and deploying AWS infrastructure (networking, compute, storage, databases). * Infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred) and automated delivery. * CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments. * Secure network design (routing, firewalls, security groups, subnet isolation). * Windows or Linux server administration in cloud environments. * Working with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL. * Practical troubleshooting and debugging in complex distributed systems. **You’re comfortable partnering with development teams using:** \- .NET, Node.js, Python or similar backend stacks. Modern frontend frameworks where needed. SQL\-based databases and cloud\-hosted storage services. **Qualifications** * Strong Troubleshooting and System Administration skills * Experience in managing Infrastructure and Networking components * Experience in Network Security practices * Excellent problem\-solving and analytical abilities * Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, CCNA, AWS) are a plus * Scripting in Terraform and PowerShell skills are highly preferred * Strong communication and collaboration skills * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
