Job Description
We are seeking Insurance Defence Lawyers to join a growing litigation practice in London, Ontario, offering strong mentorship, meaningful advocacy experience, and long-term practice development opportunities.This opportunity is ideal for lawyers seeking exposure to sophisticated insurance defence matters within a supportive and balanced work environment. Associates will work on a broad range of litigation files while receiving mentorship and increasing responsibility with autonomy over their practice development.
Responsibilities
- Handle litigation matters involving municipal defence, historical abuse claims, motor vehicle litigation, and medical malpractice
- Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and legal opinions
- Conduct legal research and assist with litigation strategy
- Attend discoveries, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
- Manage files effectively from intake through resolution
- Communicate with clients, insurers, experts, and opposing counsel
- Work collaboratively with lawyers and support staff on complex matters
Qualifications
- 3+ years of litigation experience
- Insurance defence experience considered an asset
- Strong advocacy, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage files independently and work within a team environment
- Motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a litigation practice
- Transferable litigation experience will also be considered
