Associate lawyer will receive direct mentorship, practical training, and ongoing support from experienced lawyers and staff. Associate lawyer will gain substantial hands\-on experience, direct client exposure, and the opportunity to take ownership of files early in his or her career. We are committed to helping junior lawyers build confidence, develop strong practice skills, and grow quickly in a supportive team environment. Role Description
This is a full\-time, on\-site Associate Lawyer position in Burnaby, BC. The successful candidate will manage files, communicate directly with clients, draft legal documents, conduct legal research, and handle matters from start to finish. The role involves close collaboration with lawyers and staff in a fast\-paced practice serving individuals, families, and small businesses.
This position offers significant upside potential for someone with strong work ethic, initiative, and an ownership mindset. Lawyers who are proactive, client\-focused, and motivated to build long\-term value within the firm will have substantial opportunities for accelerated growth.
Qualifications
\* Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or equivalent, and a valid license to practice law in British Columbia
\* 2–3 years of solicitor experience preferred
\* Proficiency in legal research, case analysis, and drafting legal documents
\* Strong client communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
\* Ability to manage files independently and effectively in a fast\-paced legal environment
\* Knowledge of legal procedures, regulatory requirements, and legal practice protocols
\* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
\* Demonstrated problem\-solving abilities and strong attention to detail
\* Prior experience in real estate, wills \& estates, corporate/commercial law is an asset
\* Proficiency with Prosuite or Clio is an asset
\* Ability to work collaboratively with lawyers and support staff while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
\* Korean, Mandarin, or Cantonese language skills are considered a strong asset
