Associate Lawyer

**Firm Description** Demers•Law (founded 2018\) acts for small and medium\-sized businesses, reporting and non\-reporting issuers, and their owners. The firm is especially focused on business structuring, corporate governance, debt and equity transactions, commercial transactions, litigation / arbitration and negotiated dispute resolution. **Role Description** This is a full\-time on\-site role in downtown Toronto. The Associate Lawyer will work alongside another associate, two *Of Counsel* , under the mentorship of the firm's principal. This role affords an opportunity for a highly motivated and self\-starting lawyer to become an integral part of the firm. Terms to be negotiated. **Qualifications** * Excellent legal research and analytical skills * Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members * Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast\-paced high pressure environment with great attention to detail * Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent and active license to practice law in Ontario * Previous business law and litigation experience, particularly working with entrepreneurs, lower middle market companies and family investment groups is an asset
