With operations in both Canada and the United States, WeCare specializes in advising and representing healthcare providers on commercial real estate matters including: commercial lease negotiations, asset management, practice sales and acquisitions and practice start-ups.
Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an Associate Lawyer - Commercial Leasing. The Associate Lawyer will be joining our growing leasing team and will be responsible for advising and representing clients in various commercial real estate matters, including reviewing and negotiating commercial lease agreement. The successful candidate will also have an opportunity to work alongside our real estate private equity and asset management team as we focus on acquiring strategic U.S. CRE assets.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of commercial leasing
- Experience in negotiating and drafting lease agreements
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus but not a requirement
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
