Bring your curiosity for learning, bold ideas, courage and passion to drive life\-changing impact to ZS. **Associate Counsel** We seek an **Associate Counsel** to join ZS’ Data Protection group within the Legal team. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders across the firm to enable responsible use of data by providing practical, business\-focused advice on privacy and data protection issues, supporting global commercial transactions, and helping assess and manage privacy risk. You will stay current on evolving privacy laws and regulatory guidance and translate requirements into clear recommendations, templates and processes. **What you'll do:** **Associate Counsel in the Enterprise will…** * Reviewing, revising and negotiating privacy and data protection provisions in client, partner and vendor agreements * Providing legal support to the ZS IT team, with a focus on vendor contract review, including reviewing vendor documentation, advising on privacy and data protection risks, and engaging with relevant ZS stakeholders to support compliant vendor engagement * Advising on privacy and AI compliance topics * Supporting privacy assessments for new initiatives (e.g., DPIAs/PIAs), and embedding privacy\-by\-design and security\-by\-design principles into business processes * Assisting with client data protection questionnaires and audits * Assist in providing legal support to business functions and across various client practice areas **What you'll bring:** * LLB degree with strong academic background required * 1–3 years of relevant experience in privacy/data protection, technology transactions, or commercial contracting (in\-house or at a law firm); international experience preferred * Some knowledge of global privacy and data protection concepts and frameworks (e.g., India DPDP Act, EU GDPR) * Experience reviewing and negotiating vendor agreements * Basic understanding of information technology concepts and environments, including technology platforms and SaaS solutions, is preferred * Fluency in English * Client\-first mentality * Intense work ethic * Collaborative spirit and problem\-solving approach **How you’ll grow:** * Cross\-functional skills development \& custom learning pathways * Milestone training programs aligned to career progression opportunities * Internal mobility paths that empower growth via s\-curves, individual contribution and role expansions **Perks \& Benefits:** At ZS, your growth matters.
