What You will do:
As AM Crewing, you will be responsible for the end-to-end manning pipeline for the principal's vessels out of Pakistan – covering sourcing, certification, mobilization, onboard support, and repatriation – and assist in running the Islamabad Crew Management \& Training Centre.
- Maintain a rolling 12-month manning forecast covering reliefs, leave reserves, attrition, and fresh-intake requirements.
- Assist with crew rotation and sign-on/sign-off scheduling; flag gaps early with a recovery plan.
- Coordinate with Carnival UK (Maritime Rotations Planner) and Fleet Travel to ensure smooth crew-change cycles.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment (sourcing, testing, interviews, and documentation) as per approvals
- Ensure ethical, no-fee hiring in compliance with MLC 2006.
- Prepare Seafarer Employment Agreements (SEAs) compliant with MLC 2006 and flag-state requirements.
- Verify all crew documents (STCW, CDC, endorsements, passport, medicals, security clearance) before mobilization.
- Maintain crew database and track certificate validity for timely renewals.
- Ensure MLC 2006 Reg. 1.4 compliance: seafarer register, complaints-handling, qualification verification, and required financial security.
- Handle seafarer personal data in accordance with applicable data protection requirements (UK GDPR).
- Assist in supervising pre-sea and STCW-mandated training aligned to STCW 2010 and principal's competency standards.
- Ensure approved facilities, instructors, and equipment; oversee monthly assessments.
- Support administration of the Seamen Hostel and maintain training centre accreditation.
- Manage pre-joining formalities, medicals, documentation, visas, and travel.
- Liaise with embassies, agents, and immigration (including US C1/D and LOG process).
- Brief crew on travel, documentation, and immigration procedures.
- Act as Pakistan point of contact for crew welfare, grievances, and emergencies (medical, death, desertion, detention, repatriation) on a 24/7 basis, coordinating with the principal, P\&I club, and next-of-kin.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll inputs and allotments.
- Support reporting on manning, recruitment, training, and costs.
- Maintain audit readiness for principal, MLC, and flag-state inspections.
You Bring (Qualification \& Experience):
- 5 years' experience in maritime crewing, HR, or a related field; cruise-sector exposure preferred.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification (essential). Only HEC or University attested degrees will be considered.
- Working knowledge of STCW 2010, MLC 2006, and Pakistani seafarer and immigration regulations.
- Strong written and spoken English
- Planning discipline and attention to detail.
- Compliance instinct – will not cut corners on certificates or visas.
- Stakeholder management across principal, embassies, immigration, and vendors.
- Ownership mindset – proactive escalation, not reactive firefighting.
- Manning maintained at target with zero unplanned gaps.
- 100% certificate, medical, and visa validity at mobilization.
- Training completion and pass rates within batch targets.
- Zero adverse findings in principal/MLC/flag-state audits.
- Crew complaint resolution within agreed timelines.
