**About the Role** We are looking for a driven and experienced Assistant General Manager to support the leadership of a busy, food\-led pub. This role is perfect for a strong hospitality professional ready to take the next step, working closely with the General Manager to deliver exceptional food, service, and overall guest experience. As AGM, you will play a key role in the day\-to\-day running of the business, leading the team on shift, maintaining standards, and helping drive sales and profitability. **Key Responsibilities** **Operational Support** * Assist the General Manager in the daily operation of the pub * Take responsibility for running shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient service * Maintain high standards across food quality, service, and cleanliness * Ensure compliance with all health \& safety and licensing regulations **Team Leadership** * Support recruitment, training, and development of team members * Lead, motivate, and inspire the team during service * Manage staff rotas and ensure adequate staffing levels * Step in as duty manager in the absence of the General Manager **Customer Experience** * Deliver exceptional guest service and lead by example on the floor * Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly * Help create a welcoming and community\-focused atmosphere **Financial \& Commercial Support** * Assist in managing costs, including labour and stock * Support stock control, ordering, and waste management * Help drive sales through upselling, promotions, and local initiatives **Standards \& Compliance** * Ensure consistent adherence to brand standards and procedures * Maintain excellent hygiene and food safety standards **Skills \& Experience Required** * Previous experience as an Assistant Manager or similar role in a food\-led pub or restaurant * Strong understanding of front\-of\-house operations and service standards * Passion for hospitality, food, and drink * Proven leadership and team management skills * Good financial awareness and ability to support cost control * Ability to perform well in a fast\-paced environment **What We Offer** * Competitive salary * Ongoing training and development * Staff discounts and benefits * A supportive and energetic working culture **How to Apply** Please submit your CV along with a short cover letter outlining your experience and why you would be a great fit for the role. **Step into a leadership role where you can grow your career while helping deliver an outstanding pub experience.**
