Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Area Sales Manager role based in Ahmedabad. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, achieving revenue targets, and expanding market share for Colston Bathrooms in the assigned territory. Day-to-day activities include managing and developing relationships with dealers, distributors, architects, interior designers, and project clients, as well as identifying new business opportunities. The role involves planning and executing sales strategies, conducting product presentations and trainings, monitoring competitor activity, and providing regular sales forecasts and reports. The Area Sales Manager will also coordinate closely with marketing, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure timely deliveries, strong customer satisfaction, and effective execution of promotional campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Proven sales and business development skills, with demonstrated experience in meeting or exceeding sales targets in a territory-based role.
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation abilities, with experience working with channel partners, dealers, or project clients.
  • Solid understanding of the building materials, sanitaryware, or bathroom solutions industry (or related sectors such as tiles, fittings, or interiors) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Strong planning, territory management, and reporting skills, including comfort with CRM tools and basic MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to work independently in the field, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area for client meetings, market visits, and events.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in a similar role (Area Sales Manager, Territory Manager, or similar) is highly desirable.
