AI Engineer

**TL;DR** We are looking for a hands\-on AI Engineer / Data Scientist who loves building and shipping features. You’ll take big ownership of Magma’s AI projects, prototype fast, deploy models to production, and help improve math learning for millions of students. We are an ambitious team on a meaningful mission of improving math education for millions of children. **The Role** We are looking for builders that want to work with large data sets, build AI\-powered products and ship things that make a real difference for teachers and students. In this role you will take large ownership of Magma’s AI initiatives, from research and prototyping to production and iteration, working together with product and engineering. **Your Work Will Span Across Areas Such As** * Digging into data, building models and pipelines. * Prototyping quickly and iterating based on real classroom feedback and measurable impact * Deploying and monitoring models in production, improving quality, speed and reliability over time * Working closely with the team to define what “great” looks like for AI in education, and pushing the product forward fast * This is a high\-ownership role where you’ll be expected to move quickly, explore new ideas, and turn the best ones into real product improvements that are used by students every day. **Who You Are And What You Know** We are searching for a team member who wants to take large ownership of Magma's different AI projects. To succeed you need to: * Be passionate about building stuff with big impact * Have a big interest in AI, stay up\-to\-date with the latest releases and enjoy experimenting * Be very ambitious and like chasing challenging targets * Be extremely output\-oriented and find satisfaction in driving projects to completion * Eager to learn new things, and have experience of building stuff * Goal\-oriented and accustomed to working towards deadlines in a structured manner * Great at communicating * Excellent at giving feedback to others, and adapting to feedback given to you * Be hardworking and willing to join a fast\-paced and rapidly growing startup **Requirements** * Coding skills that enable you to build stuff * Technical understanding * Hands\-on experience vibe coding with tools like Claude, Cursor, etc. * Fluent in English **What We Offer** * Play a key role in an exciting journey.
