Job Description
About the Role:
We are looking for an AI Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain intelligent automation solutions that combine workflow automation with modern AI and LLM capabilities. You will own end-to-end automation pipelines, from identifying manual processes to shipping AI-powered tools that reduce effort, cut turnaround time, and improve accuracy across the business. This is a hands-on build role for someone who is comfortable moving between scripting, API integration, and applied AI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation workflows that integrate AI and LLM services into existing business and engineering processes.
- Build and deploy AI agents, prompt pipelines, and document processing systems (parsing, extraction, classification, summarization).
- Integrate third-party and internal APIs to connect data sources, applications, and AI models into reliable end-to-end pipelines.
- Automate repetitive workflows using scripting, RPA, and low-code or no-code platforms where appropriate.
- Optimize prompts, model selection, and pipeline logic for cost, latency, and output quality.
- Monitor deployed automations, handle errors and edge cases, and maintain performance over time.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and translate them into working solutions.
- Document architecture, workflows, and handover material so solutions are maintainable and scalable.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (completed).
- 3 to 5 years of experience in software development, automation engineering, or a related build role.
- Strong programming skills in Python (or a comparable language) for automation and integration work.
- Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, or similar) into applications or workflows.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and data formats such as JSON and XML.
- Experience with prompt engineering and building AI-driven pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, with Azure preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with workflow automation or low-code platforms (Power Platform, Zapier, n8n, Make, or similar).
- Exposure to RPA tools and process automation frameworks.
- Experience with document processing (PDF, DOCX, OCR) and data extraction at scale.
- Understanding of vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
- Working knowledge of CI/CD, version control (Git), and containerization (Docker).
