This is an operational role for someone who enjoys taking ownership and keeping the entire day-to-day finance function running smoothly.
Strikersoft is more complex than a typical small Swedish consulting company. We operate across
Sweden, the UK, Romania and Ukraine, while also having product and IP-related matters connected to
SwipeCare and relationships between Strikersoft and other group entities.
We are therefore looking for someone who is hands-on, structured and comfortable working
independently. You will have clear responsibility for the Swedish finance function, with support from
an experienced CFO Advisor when needed.
This is a role where accuracy, reliability and the ability to get things done really matter.
Your role
As an
Accounting Manager
, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations for Strikersoft Sweden.
You will:
- Manage the full Swedish bookkeeping process in Fortnox.
- Perform complete monthly closings and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
- Handle input and output VAT, including VAT reporting.
- Manage payroll and employer declarations.
- Handle employee expenses and support employees with finance-related questions.
- Prepare bank payments for approval.
- Reconcile bank accounts, tax accounts, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Manage accruals, prepayments and other period-end adjustments.
- Handle vacation pay liabilities and other balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare year-end closing materials and documentation for the audit.
- Produce a simple monthly management reporting package.
- Maintain the financial model and prepare expense forecasts.
- Provide practical finance support and consultations to employees.
Who you are:
We’re looking for someone who enjoys responsibility and does not need a large finance organization
around them to get things done.
You are structured, proactive and detail-oriented, but also practical and business-minded. You are
comfortable working independently, taking ownership of deadlines, and making sure that things are
completed correctly and on time.
You don’t need to be a CFO - but you should be confident enough to own the operational finance
function and know when to ask for support.
Required experience \& competencies
The ideal candidate brings:
- Approximately 4-7 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Swedish bookkeeping and accounting processes.
- Solid knowledge of Swedish VAT, payroll and employer declarations.
- Experience with monthly and year-end closing processes.
- Experience working in Fortnox or a similar accounting system.
- Good understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and other
accounting adjustments.
- Experience preparing financial reports, forecasts and supporting management with financial
information.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Good communication skills and a service-oriented approach when working with employees and
management.
- Fluency in Swedish and English.
