Job Description
Position: Senior Accountant
Type: Full-time
Compensation: $110K - $150K/yr
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all accounts are substantiated and documented.
- Support external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and reconciliations.
- Identify and implement improvements to the close process to reduce cycle time and increase accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CA preferred.
- 3- of accounting experience with a clear focus on G/L and month-end close.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting system.
- Strong command of Google Sheets and Excel.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, fast-paced startup environment.
