Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Islamabad. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including recording journal entries, reconciling bank and ledger accounts, and maintaining accurate records of payables, receivables, and general ledgers. The role includes preparing invoices, processing payments, monitoring cash flows, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. The Accountant will assist in preparing financial statements, management reports, and budgets, and will coordinate with internal teams to ensure correct documentation for trade, logistics, and inventory transactions. The individual will also support audits, ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations, and help improve financial processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in financial accounting, including general ledger management, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel (spreadsheets, pivot tables, basic formulas) to manage large transaction volumes and reports.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, ideally in a trading, logistics, or commodities environment.
• Understanding of tax regulations, invoicing, and compliance procedures relevant to corporate and trade operations.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data for decision support.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of professional accounting experience is mandatory.
