Accountant – Job Description **Scandia Systems** is seeking a skilled and detail\-oriented **Accountant** with **5–8 years of experience** to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, experience with financial reporting, and a proactive approach to ensuring accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities **Financial Reporting** Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. **General Ledger Management** Oversee the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensure the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger. **Account Reconciliation** Perform detailed reconciliations of accounts, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly. **Tax Preparation \& Compliance** Assist in the preparation of corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. **Internal Controls \& Audits** Support internal and external audit processes and ensure financial transactions comply with accounting standards and company policies. **Financial Analysis** Provide financial insights, including budget vs. actual analysis, and support management with data\-driven decision\-making. **Client Interaction** Communicate with clients regarding financial statements, accounting inquiries, and related matters. **Team Collaboration** Collaborate effectively with internal teams and provide guidance to junior accounting staff where required.
