NOTE : *This position is 100% remote however candidates MUST reside in either Arizona, California, or Utah.*
Compensation : $70,000 - $85,000 annual base salary. *Exact compensation will depend on factors such as years of experience, education, and related skills.*
OVERVIEW
Insight Global is seeking an Accountant in either California, Utah, or Arizona to join a large waste management and environmental solutions client. This individual will oversee accounting functions for their assigned business unit and ensure accuracy as well as compliance with all Company and U.S. GAAP standards. The ideal candidate will have experience partnering with business unit leaders, finance leaders, and leading teams through process improvements.
*Responsibilities Include:*
- Prepare journal entries, record transactions, and generate monthly/quarterly financial reports.
- Support internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies, SOX, and regulatory requirements.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with accounting operations, including AP, billing, collections, payroll, and month-end close.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts.
- Manage accounting activities related to capital expenditures and fixed assets.
- Assist with internal and external audits and related documentation.
- Provide financial support to corporate and field teams across multiple business functions.
- Perform additional accounting and finance duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Located in Arizona, California, or Utah at the time of hire and able to work remotely.
- Associate Degree in Accounting at minimum
- 4+ years of professional accounting experience
- Strong understanding of month-end close processes and experience with 4–5-day close periods
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, Formulas, reporting)
*Preferred Qualifications*
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting
- Active CPA
- Experience using Oracle accounting software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills - Macros, Power Query, Power Pivot
