Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Gujranwala. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, handling petty cash, and assisting with payroll processing. The role also involves preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and institutional policies. The Accountant will collaborate with administrative and program teams to provide accurate financial data, support audits, and help improve financial processes and controls.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, including spreadsheets, reconciliations, and basic data analysis.
  • Ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and cash handling with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience preparing budgets, monitoring expenses, and supporting internal and external audits.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and documentation skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality and ethical financial practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
  • Prior experience in the education, healthcare, or nonprofit sector is preferred but not required.
