Job Description
ACCOUNTANT – UAE
Location: Dubai, UAE
Salary: AED 6,500 – 7,500 per month
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting operations of our trading and distribution business.
This position is best suited for candidates with 5+ years of UAE accounting experience who are looking to take ownership of a complete accounting function within a growing company.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Trial Balance, Profit \& Loss Statements, and Balance Sheets
- Complete monthly and annual financial closing within established timelines
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
- Record and reconcile petty cash and main cash transactions
- Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with FTA requirements
- Verify LPOs prior to issuance
- Prepare commercial invoices and financial reports
- Coordinate customer collections and monitor receivables
- Work closely with the warehouse team on inventory reconciliation and stock adjustments
- Support management reporting and profitability analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience in the UAE
- Strong understanding of VAT regulations and Corporate Tax requirements
- Experience using TallyPrime
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience in a trading, distribution, or inventory-based business is preferred
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability
Key Performance Indicators
- Monthly closing completed within 5 working days
- Accurate and timely bank reconciliations
- Full VAT compliance
- Collection efficiency of 95% or higher
