Accountant

**Position:** Accountant **Location:** Abu Dhabi **Industry:** Lighting Technology / Engineering Solutions **Department:** Finance **Job Purpose:** The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies, and supporting timely financial reporting and daily accounting operations. **Key Responsibilities:** * Record and post journal entries accurately and ensure proper account reconciliation * Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking * Review and reconcile supplier statements, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely vendor payments * Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate variances where required * Issue sales invoices on a daily basis and coordinate with the logistics team for supporting documentation * Liaise with customers to resolve billing issues related to invoices and delivery notes * Prepare customer account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding balances * Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity within the accounting system * Support the finance team with reporting and ad\-hoc accounting tasks **Qualifications:** **Education:** * Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field **Experience:** * Minimum 5 years of experience as an Accountant in a similar role **Skills \& Competencies:** * Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and accounting software * Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills * High attention to detail and accuracy * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines -
