Accountant -

This role is responsible for supporting core day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, accruals, reclasses, account reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. The Accountant will assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. This role reports to the Sr. Finance Director and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across multiple sales channels and operational systems.

What You Will Be Doing -

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and account reconciliations
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies
• Support inventory, fulfillment, and COGS accounting processes
• Support accounts payable process, including invoice review, coding and payment processing
• Reconcile ecommerce and marketplace activity, including Shopify and Amazon transactions
• Assist with 3PL and logistics accounting workflows
• Support bank and credit card reconciliations
• Support sales tax reporting and compliance activities
• Collaborate with operations and external partners to improve accounting processes and controls
• Maintain accurate supporting documentation and accounting records

What It Takes / Requirements -

• 3+ years of accounting or general ledger experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and strong financial reporting and analysis skills
• Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred
• Experience with ecommerce, inventory, CPG, or consumer products companies preferred

Big Bold Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base salary for this role is $60,000 (based on a 32-hour workweek), with additional bonus potential. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, education, and overall qualifications.

This is a 32 hour per week (ideally Monday - Thursday), fully remote role. Candidates must be located in and able to work within the Pacific Time Zone to support team collaboration and business operations.
