**Middle East Account Manager**
**Defence Manufacturing**
Remote (must be based in the Middle East)
**The Role**
A leading international manufacturer is seeking an emerging Account Manager to support the growth and development of its presence across the Middle East and parts of Africa.
This role will be primarily focused on managing and developing existing strategic accounts, including relationships with OEM Primes, military stakeholders, and government entities. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining strong client partnerships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and identifying opportunities to expand existing programmes.
Alongside core account management responsibilities, the role will also provide exposure to new business development. You will support the identification of new opportunities, contribute to sales initiatives beyond the current account base, and help build pipeline within the region.
Given the continued industrialisation and scaling of operations in the region, an appreciation for operational processes and delivery models will be valuable. The role will work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment between customer requirements and execution capabilities.
This is a hands\-on position, combining day\-to\-day account support, proposal coordination, and client engagement with longer\-term development opportunities.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Manage and develop existing customer accounts, ensuring strong relationships and high levels of retention
* Identify opportunities for account growth through cross\-selling, up\-selling, and programme expansion
* Support new business activities, including prospecting and contributing to regional sales opportunities
* Assist in proposal development, bid coordination, and commercial documentation
* Work closely with internal teams, including operations and engineering, to support effective programme delivery
* Build an understanding of regional operational capabilities to support scalable and efficient growth
* Maintain regular engagement with customers to understand evolving needs and priorities
* Contribute insights to regional strategy and market development initiatives
**Experience**
* Experience in account management, sales support, or a commercial role within defence, aerospace, or a related industry
* Exposure to working with government, military, or OEM customers is advantageous
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships
* Understanding of sales processes, including proposals and bid support
* Interest in developing new business and contributing to sales growth
* Awareness of operational or delivery processes (or willingness to learn)
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non\-technical stakeholders
* Proactive, organised, and eager to develop within a client\-facing commercial role
