The Role
We are looking for an A-Level Physics Lead to own and build our Physics offering across teaching content, course structure, exam technique, and student-facing delivery.
You will lead Physics day to day and work alongside our existing Chemistry and Physics educator to keep both subjects moving at pace. Physics is your subject to own. Chemistry is where you step in, share the load, and cover live sessions when needed.
We would rather hire one exceptional teacher who can do both than two who can only do one. If you can teach Physics and Chemistry to a high standard, you go straight to the top of the list.
This is a core academic role inside EdGenie. You will help build the standard for how A-Level Physics should be taught online, across long-form course content, live lessons, and short and long form social media.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the creation of high-quality A-Level Physics content across EdGenie's course platform, lesson library, and social channels
- Support Chemistry delivery alongside your Physics remit, including live teaching cover where needed
- Support our growing A-Level student base across the UK, UAE, and globally
- Turn complex Physics topics into clear, engaging, exam-ready teaching
- Build structured, exam board specific lesson pathways across AQA, OCR, Edexcel, and International Edexcel
- Create high-quality model answers, question walkthroughs, and exam-focused resources
- Teach required and core practicals so students can handle experimental method, data analysis, and uncertainty questions with confidence
- Build the mathematical fluency Physics students routinely lose marks on
- Ensure students understand how to apply knowledge, analyse effectively, and structure high-scoring responses
- Design lesson sequences that build understanding in the right order and improve student results
- Record engaging course lessons with clarity, authority, and strong energy
- Stay current with specification updates, mark schemes, and examiners' reports
- Host live weekly classes focused on content, exam technique, and interactive support
- Go live on social media to answer questions, teach key concepts, and connect with students in real time
- Create short-form video content for platforms such as TikTok to build trust, grow reach, and drive engagement
Who You Are
- A-Level Physics specialist with deep subject knowledge and a strong instinct for what students struggle with
- Able to teach A-Level Chemistry to a high standard as well, which is a major advantage and will set you apart
- Strong grasp of exam requirements across AQA, OCR, Edexcel, and International Edexcel
- Examiner experience is expected and highly desirable
- Confident with the maths that underpins A-Level Physics, and able to teach it without losing students
- Online tutoring experience highly desirable
- Excellent teacher and communicator who explains difficult ideas in a simple, engaging way
- Strong on camera and confident presenting to both students and parents
- Proven track record of helping students secure top grades
- Able to build both academic depth and sharp exam technique
- Creative, commercially aware, and comfortable working in a fast-moving digital education business
- Clear spoken and written English is essential
