Our client Agay Barho is looking for a UK Accountant \- CIS \& Charity Accounting in Rawalpindi
Agay Barho is actively seeking a skilled UK Accountant with a strong background in CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) and charity accounting to join our team in Rawalpindi on a full\-time basis. The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of three years of relevant experience and demonstrates proficiency in UK accounting standards, VAT, tax compliance, bookkeeping, reconciliations, payroll processing, and regulatory compliance within both construction and charity sectors. This role involves meticulous management of financial operations, ensuring full adherence to HMRC requirements while providing accurate and timely financial information critical for decision\-making and business growth.
The Accountant will handle comprehensive accounting tasks, including managing bookkeeping records, preparing VAT returns, administering CIS processes, and supporting tax compliance procedures such as Corporation Tax and Self\-Assessment. Additionally, the role requires expertise in charity accounting aligned with SORP and Charity Commission guidelines to maintain transparency and compliance. Effective communication skills are essential for liaising with HMRC and clients, along with excellent multitasking abilities to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. This position does not include team management Responsibilities
but demands a reliable and proactive individual focused on delivering high\-quality financial services to support Agay Barhos operations.
**Responsibilities**
* Maintain accurate and up\-to\-date bookkeeping records covering sales, purchases, bank reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure financial data integrity.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns in strict compliance with HMRC regulations to guarantee timely and accurate tax filings.
* Manage the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) processes including verification, deduction handling, and reporting to support construction project compliance.
* Generate monthly management accounts and assist with the preparation of year\-end financial statements, contributing to efficient financial reporting.
* Handle correspondence with HMRC efficiently, addressing queries and resolving issues related to tax and compliance in a timely manner.
* Maintain and reconcile Directors' Loan Accounts (DLA) accurately to reflect current financial standings.
* Support overall tax compliance efforts including Corporation Tax and Self\-Assessment returns ensuring all statutory obligations are met.
* Maintain financial records for charity organizations adhering to UK regulations, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial operations.
* Prepare charity accounts in accordance with Charity Commission guidelines and ensure compliance with the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP).
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements for trustees and regulatory authorities to facilitate governance and regulatory adherence.
* Use accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or equivalent solutions for efficient financial management and reporting.
* Coordinate payroll processing in line with HMRC requirements to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
* Communicate effectively with clients, HMRC, and other stakeholders to clarify accounting processes and resolve any discrepancies.
* Organize workload efficiently to manage multiple clients and meet stringent deadlines without compromising the quality of work.
* Maintain strong attention to detail in all accounting tasks to minimize errors and uphold compliance standards.
* Stay updated with changes in UK accounting standards, tax laws, and charitable regulations to keep financial practices aligned with current requirements.
