Summer Camp-Physical Education Teacher

The Role We are seeking an engaging Gym Teacher with school experience to design and lead daily physical activities for Summer Campers ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 6\. You will be responsible for creating an inclusive environment where students can build foundational physical skills, learn about health, and participate in active gameplay. Key Responsibilities * **Physical Training \& Fitness:** Design and implement age\-appropriate physical education lessons tailored to the developmental stages of K\-6 students. * **Warm\-ups \& Stretching:** Lead safe, effective stretching and dynamic warm\-up routines at the start of every session to prevent injury and promote flexibility. * **Health \& Wellness Education:** Integrate foundational health knowledge into daily lessons, teaching campers the importance of active living, nutrition, and bodily care. * **Game Play \& Sports:** Organize, referee, and actively participate in structured games, team sports, and cooperative activities. * **Classroom Management:** Maintain a safe, structured, and positive environment, utilizing strategies effective in public school settings to manage diverse groups of children. Requirements \& Qualifications * **Experience:** Proven experience working as a Physical Education teacher, coach, or related role within a school system. * OCT licensed/related diploma in Education major is an asset. * **Age\-Group Expertise:** Demonstrated ability to manage, engage, and adapt lessons for children across the Kindergarten to Grade 6 spectrum. * **Safety First:** Current Standard First Aid and CPR\-C certification. * **Clearances:** Must provide a valid, up\-to\-date Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) prior to employment. * **Skills:** High energy, strong communication skills, and a passion for teaching health and physical literacy.
