Structural Engineer

**About Us** CR Design Services is a growing architectural and structural design consultancy specialising in residential and small\-scale commercial projects across the UK. We work closely with homeowners, developers and contractors to deliver practical, buildable designs. **The Role** We are looking for a Structural Engineer with experience in residential design to join our team. You will be working alongside our Architects and Technologists to provide fully coordinated design packages. You will be working on a wide range of projects including: * House extensions * Loft conversions * New build dwellings * Structural alterations * Light industrial/agricultural building * Commercial buildings **Key Responsibilities** * Produce structural calculations for residential projects * Design steel, timber and masonry elements * Prepare clear and concise structural drawings * Liaise with architects, clients and contractors * Support Building Control submissions **Requirements** * Minimum 2 years’ experience in structural engineering * Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (UK\-accredited or equivalent) * Strong experience in UK residential structural design * Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and Eurocodes * Experience using AutoCAD * You must be elibible to live and work in the UK, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship . **Desirable** * Working toward Chartered status (IStructE or ICE) * Experience attending site visits * Familiarity with Tekla / Tedds / MasterSeries **What We Offer** * Flexible working * Varied residential project portfolio * Opportunity to grow with a small, ambitious practice * Real responsibility and client exposure
