Preference to internal applicants may be applied. **Job Profile** Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Stores, the Storekeeper 3 is responsible for issuing and receiving goods as well as maintaining inventory levels of uniform, clothing, safety gear and all station items. This position is responsible for issuing safety and station supplies as needed. The position deals with customers at the front counter; fills and checks orders; unpacks and shelves incoming orders, ensuring orders meet required specifications. The Storekeeper determines reorder points for all stationery, cleaning, and clothing supplies based on projected consumption and new hires and processes purchase orders. This position also issues promotional items, as well as obtaining items from employees on retirement, ensuring proper paperwork is completed in both cases. **As The Storekeeper 3, You Will** * Process and Receive Supply Orders. * Respond to employee inquiries re: entitlement/products and issue allowances in accordance with the applicable Collective Agreement. * Process purchase orders for stationery, cleaning and clothing supplies, including safety items and equipment. * Fill and check station orders, including medical, safety and stationery. * Unload shipments and organize stock on the shelves. * Assist with Promotions/Retirements/New Employees. * Conduct yearly inventory and cycle counts and investigate discrepancies. **Your Education And Qualifications Include** * Formal related training or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. * Two (2\) years’ experience working in an inventory warehouse environment. * Experience with shipping, receiving and distributing goods. * Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook at a basic level. * Experience using PeopleSoft modules related to the position is an asset. * Knowledge of materials handling and safe work practices. * Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees at all levels of the organization, as well as external contacts (suppliers, etc). * Ability to make sound decisions by demonstrating good judgment. * Ability to organize and prioritize conflicting workloads to meet daily sensitive deadlines. * Ability to perform minor mathematical calculations required to order and account for materials. * Strong verbal communication skills. * Strong written communication skills. **Conditions Of Employment** * The successful applicant must possess and maintain legal eligibility to work in Canada. * Police Information Check (original copy) from the City of Winnipeg Police Service (RCMP or provincial equivalent), satisfactory to the employer may be required from the successful candidate, at their expense.
