**Job Overview**
**Staff Nurse, AMU Blue (Wexham Park Hospital)**
We are seeking motivated and compassionate Staff Nurses to join our Acute Medical Unit (AMU Blue) at Wexham Park Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic, fast\-paced environment as part of a dedicated multi\-disciplinary team including Doctors, Nurses, Emergency Care Assistants, and Administrative Staff.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high\-quality patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualised nursing care within the department. You will play a key role in ensuring patient safety and promoting excellent clinical outcomes.
You will also support and supervise junior staff and students, contributing to their development and maintaining a positive learning environment. The role requires strong teamwork as well as the confidence and clinical expertise to work independently, using sound judgement and safe, effective decision\-making skills.
This position is ideal for nurses who thrive in a collaborative setting and are committed to providing outstanding patient care.
Main duties of the job
Provide clinical leadership for the assessment of patient needs, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, which are evidence based, utilising all available resources taking into consideration the lifestyle, gender and cultural background and ensure involvement with the patient, carers, and significant others.
Provide clinical care to patients undergoing assessment and treatment
Maintain records in line with NMC guidelines for records and record keeping.
Practice within the Legal \& Ethical framework as established by Nursing \& Midwifery Council(NMC)and national \& local legislation to ensure patients interest and well being are met.
Empower patients to take responsibility for their health , well\-being and future lifestyle by practising in an open transparent and inclusive manner thereby ensuring patients have the relevant information to participate in decisions about their care.
Promote and support innovation in clinical practice
Undertake education and training specific to the clinical area.
Demonstrate own professional development
Support the Senior Charge Nurse in the affective management of resources including stores supplies, pharmacy and maintenance of equipment
