Sr. Systems and Cloud Engineer

**Role Summary** We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. System \& Cloud Engineer with expertise across Windows Systems, VMware Virtualization, Backup \& Recovery, Storage Administration and AWS Cloud Infrastructure. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining hybrid IT infrastructure that ensures security, performance, high availability, and disaster recovery readiness. **Key Responsibilities** **1\) Windows System Administration** Install, configure, and manage Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022\). Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, File/Print Services. Apply OS patching, security hardening, and performance tuning. Troubleshoot Windows\-based system, hardware, and software issues. **2\) VMware Administration** Manage VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter infrastructure, including clusters, HA, and DRS. Perform VM provisioning, configuration, migration, and lifecycle management. Optimize performance, capacity planning, and resource utilization. Integrate VMware with storage and backup solutions. **3\) Backup \& Recovery** Configure and maintain enterprise backup solutions Define and implement backup policies, retention strategies, and disaster recovery plans. Monitor and troubleshoot failed backups, ensuring RPO/RTO compliance. Conduct regular DR drills and maintain recovery documentation. **4\) AWS Cloud Engineering** Deploy and manage EC2, VPC, Subnets, NAT/IGW, Elastic Load Balancer Implement and manage AWS Hybrid connectivity solutions Site2Site VPN, RA VPN, AWD Direct Connect Configure and maintain AWS Backup, EBS Snapshots, S3 lifecycle policies, DR strategies Monitor and secure environment using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Security Hub and AWS WAF Automate deployments using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines. Manage AWS IAM, including roles, policies, permission boundaries, and cross\-account access, ensuring least‑privilege security models. Perform cost optimization and governance using Cost Explorer, Budgets, Reserved Instances and well‑architected cost controls. **Required Skills \& Qualifications** * Strong experience in Windows Server OS \& Active Directory administration. * Hands\-on with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter management. * Proven expertise in backup \& recovery tools (Veeam, Commvault, Veritas, etc.). * In\-depth knowledge of AWS Cloud platform (IaaS, PaaS, Backup, DR, Networking). * Scripting knowledge in PowerShell (Python is a plus). * Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN, Firewalls). **Preferred Certifications** * AWS Certified: AWS Solutions Architect (SAA\-C03\) / AWS SysOps Adminstrator (SOA\-C02\). * VMware Certified Professional (VCP\-DCV). * Veeam VMCE / Commvault / Veritas Backup certification. * Microsoft MCSA/MCSE in Windows Server. **Soft Skills** 1\) Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. 2\) Ability to work independently and in cross\-functional teams. 3\) Excellent documentation, communication, and problem\-solving abilities. 4\) Strong focus on security, compliance, and best practices. **Benefits:** * Attractive Salary * Family Medical * Monthly Fuel * EOBI * Gym * Mobile Allowance * Child Education Support Note: It's an On\-Site job from our Lahore Office located in Gulberg.
