This is a hybrid role with the requirement to work from the office a minimum of three days per week. The Software Developer will play a key role in Maplesoft’s Math Group, writing and designing routines for our flagship product, Maple. Key Accountabilities * Specify, design, write and test new functionality for inclusion in Maple's standard library. Topics may include mathematical algorithms, but also extend to visualizations, connectivity and general infrastructure. * Projects will primarily use the Maple programming language but may also incorporate code in other languages such as C\+\+ and Python. * Interface with web\-services, pushing data and interpreting responses. * Design and develop examples and demonstrations using Maple worksheets, workbooks, and interactive features. * Actively engage with customers to show off new features, blog about math topics, and answer technical questions. * Collaborate with fellow team members (Testers, Developers, and Product Managers) to deliver on a shared responsibility for quality. Key Requirements * Post\-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience. * Strong math skills and solid computer science background are required. * Linux familiarity and Maple programming experience are of value. * Understanding of the applications of artificial intelligence and large language models. * Experience with Maple would be an asset. * Superior communication skills, results\-oriented, agile, capable of iterative work and thought process. * Flexible and adaptable to time sensitive situations **The Pay Range For This Role Is** 55,000 \- 70,000 CAD per year(Head office)
