Software Engineer IV – Data Collection and Engineering
**Type:**

**$85–$115/hour**

**Role Responsibilities**
* Develop software to integrate cutting\-edge prototype devices into the data collection platform.
* Enhance the efficiency, reliability, and accuracy of the data collection process.
* Deploy, test, and evaluate upgrades to the data collection platform.
* Build and maintain systems for monitoring system health and data validation.
* Collaborate with engineers and researchers to promote best practices and resolve issues.
* Work onsite to debug problems and perform root cause analyses.
**Qualifications**
**Must\-Have**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
* 6\+ years of professional programming experience.
* Full stack software development experience.
* Proficiency in Python, Linux, and shell scripting.
* Experience with cross\-platform distributed (RESTful) systems.
* CI/CD experience with Github or GitLab.
**Preferred**
* Experience with hardware multimedia sensors.
* Knowledge of audio, image, and video formats.
* Experience with relational and graph/NoSQL databases.
* Knowledge of React or similar frontend frameworks.
* Experience with containerization and container orchestration.
**Compensation \& Legal**
* W\-2 employment provided by Cincinnatus.
* Compliance with California and Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinances.
