**📝 Job Description: Senior MEP Engineer (Part\-Time)**
**Position Overview**
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer to join our team on a part\-time basis. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, oversee design and implementation of MEP systems, and ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements. This role is suited for a seasoned professional who can balance strategic oversight with hands\-on technical contributions.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Lead the design, review, and coordination of MEP systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams
* Conduct feasibility studies, load calculations, and system design analysis
* Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards
* Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into project designs
* Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems
* Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and project documentation
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering issues during design and construction phases
* Support project management teams with scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
* Contribute to value engineering initiatives to optimize system performance and cost efficiency
**🎓 Qualifications**
**Education \& Experience**
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
* Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification strongly preferred
* Minimum 10\+ years of experience in MEP design, engineering, and project management
* Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering successful projects
**Technical Skills**
* Expertise in HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, and plumbing systems
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other design software
* Strong knowledge of local building codes, ASHRAE, NFPA, and other relevant standards
* Ability to conduct advanced calculations and system modeling
* Familiarity with sustainable design practices and green building certifications (e.g., LEED)
