Senior Machine Learning Engineer

As a Senior ML Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning and AI systems that power Medcare’s core products. You will work across the full ML lifecycle from problem framing and feature engineering to model development, evaluation, and production deployment partnering closely with Data, Engineering, and Product teams. **Position: Senior Machine Learning Engineer** **Shift timings: 2:00 pm \- 11:00 pm** **Location: Lahore (on\-site)** **Responsibilities:** * Design, develop, and optimize ML models across training, validation, inference, and retraining stages * Apply classical ML techniques (regression, classification, clustering, feature engineering, model selection) * Perform rigorous model evaluation using appropriate statistical techniques and cross\-validation * Architect real\-time and batch ML systems for structured and unstructured data (text, documents, multimodal inputs) * Build reusable ML components for document intelligence, summarization, coding prediction, and decision support * Integrate modern AI systems including LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval\-based architectures * Implement model monitoring, drift detection, and human\-in\-the\-loop feedback systems * Ensure model explainability, traceability, and validation aligned with governance requirements * Deploy models on scalable infrastructure with versioning, rollback, and monitoring * Transition research/experimental models into robust production systems * Ensure HIPAA compliance and PHI\-safe data handling * Contribute to architectural decisions balancing performance, latency, scalability, and cost **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related discipline * 2–3 years of corporate experience in ML Engineering or Applied AI * Strong proficiency in Python with ability to implement algorithms and pipelines from first principles * Deep understanding of classical ML algorithms and feature engineering methodologies * Strong foundation in statistics and mathematics (probability, hypothesis testing, bias\-variance tradeoff, optimization) * Hands\-on experience with ML frameworks such as scikit\-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow * Experience designing ML solutions for real\-world business problems * Experience with modern AI systems including LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, and vector databases * Solid understanding of production ML systems (deployment, scaling, monitoring, lifecycle management) * Experience with MLOps tools for experimentation tracking and model management * Familiarity with structured and unstructured healthcare data preferred * Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and regulated environments preferred * Experience with Microsoft Azure (Azure ML, AKS, Functions) is a plus * Strong cross\-functional communication and documentation skills
