Senior Legal Counsel

Our ideal candidates thrive at the intersection of business and law, providing strategic guidance to senior management, boards of directors, and key stakeholders across complex transactions and corporate matters. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead and manage corporate, commercial, and transactional matters, including mergers \& acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial agreements, and governance issues. * Provide strategic counsel to senior executives and boards on corporate governance, compliance, and risk management. * Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, contracts, and regulatory documents. * Oversee and manage commercial litigation or disputes as needed. * Mentor and develop junior lawyers and legal teams. * Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities. **Qualifications:** * **JD/LLB** from a recognized law school * Licensed to practice in Ontario, British Columbia, Calgary or Quebec * **8\+ years** of experience in corporate, commercial, and transactional law. * **Dual qualified** is highly desirable * **Partner\-level experience** highly preferred. * Proven track record in **M\&A, private equity, corporate governance, or commercial law** . * Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills. * Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset but not required. * Comfortable interfacing with senior executives, boards, and clients.
