**What You’ll Do:**
As a Senior Human Resources Manager, you will work directly with our leadership team and play a pivotal role in supporting our explosive international expansion. Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer \& Head of Shared Services, this role will serve as a key partner to executive leadership development and implementation of HR initiatives that enable us to attract, develop, and retain top talent in a highly competitive tech\-mining intersection. You will manage a growing team of HR specialists and regional staff supporting the company’s rapid international growth across North and South America, Europe, Australia and the Middle East.
This is a high\-impact position for a seasoned HR leader who thrives in a fast\-paced, innovative environment and is excited to shape HR systems and culture during a period of significant global scaling.
**Key Roles and Responsibilities:**
* **Leadership of Distributed HR Team:**
Manage and develop a geographically dispersed HR function, including in\-house recruiters, regional HR professionals in Chile, Saudi Arabia, Finland and other markets, as well as payroll and administrative support. Provide coaching, standardization, and strategic direction while respecting local nuances.
* **Key Role Recruiting:**
Lead recruiting efforts for key specialized technical and senior professional roles. Work with business leaders to develop detailed job descriptions and qualification requirements. Utilize internal recruiting tools and networks to identify and attract preferred candidates, and engage and manage external recruiters where appropriate.
* **Performance Management:**
Design and implement comprehensive performance management frameworks, including goal setting (OKRs aligned with business priorities), regular performance reviews, competency frameworks, and tracking systems tailored to our multidisciplinary teams of geoscientists, AI engineers, field operators, and developers.
* **Total Compensation Strategy:**
Partner closely with the CFO and executive team to develop and refine competitive total rewards programs, including salary structures and scales, short\- and long\-term incentive plans (cash and equity), and enhanced benefits packages that attract and retain global talent in the mining/technology sectors.
* **Workforce Planning \& Change Management:**
Lead proactive workforce planning, including headcount forecasting, organizational design, succession planning, and change management initiatives to support our rapid international growth and operational scaling across multiple continents.
* **HR Policy Development \& Scaling:**
Create and implement scalable HR policies, processes, and best practices that support our continued rapid growth and multi\-jurisdictional operations. Balance our innovative, collaborative, and informal culture with the formal compliance, governance, and efficiency requirements of a scaling enterprise. Work with Legal and Finance to establish and maintain presence in new markets to support business activities while maintaining compliance with local HR rules and regulations.
* **Back\-Office Systems Implementation:**
Support current initiatives to upgrade time tracking, HRIS, payroll and other back\-office systems and ensure an optimized implementation that results in seamless, data\-driven global HR operations that will support the company’s growth.
**Location**
This is a hybrid role. If not based in Calgary, regular travel to Calgary head office will be required along with occasional travel to other regional offices. Support for relocation to Calgary may be considered for highly\-qualified candidates
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or CHRP/CPHR designation strongly preferred).
* 8–12\+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a senior or managerial role. Experience in a fast\-growing technology, or natural resources/mining company is highly desirable.
* Direct experience in recruiting for specialized technical and professional roles in the technology and/or mining industries.
* Proven expertise in performance management, total compensation design (including incentive programs), workforce planning, and organizational change management.
* Demonstrated success leading and developing distributed or international HR teams across multiple jurisdictions, with strong knowledge of Canadian employment law and exposure to European and other compliance requirements.
* Hands\-on experience utilizing and optimizing HRIS, payroll, and ERP systems in a scaling organization.
* Strategic thinker with excellent business acumen, change leadership skills, and the ability to influence at the executive level while rolling up sleeves to execute.
* Passion for innovation, technology, and the mining/energy transition sector is a strong plus.
* Eligible to work in Canada; willingness to work in a primarily in\-office Calgary role and ability to travel internationally as occasionally needed.
