Senior DevOps Engineer

**Job Overview** The Senior DevOps Engineer, reporting into the Director, Software Engineer is responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and improving cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and platform reliability across the organization’s application environment. This role partners closely with software engineering and IT teams to support efficient software delivery, platform stability, automation, and operational maturity across AWS and Azure environments. **Duties \& Responsibilities** * Administer and optimize AWS and Azure environments to support reliable, scalable application and platform operations. * Design, build, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for software delivery. * Support application deployments, release processes, and environment configuration across development, test, and production. * Monitor platform and system performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve operational bottlenecks. * Build and maintain automation scripts and tooling to improve infrastructure provisioning, deployment consistency, and operational efficiency. * Implement and enhance development testing automation and infrastructure improvement initiatives. * Partner with software engineering teams to improve deployment patterns, environment consistency, observability, and release quality. * Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and runbooks for DevOps processes, tooling, and environments. * Support containerized workloads and deployment patterns using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. * Contribute to continuous improvement of platform reliability, release efficiency, and operational support practices. **Education, Training \& Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred. * Proven experience in a DevOps Engineer or similar role. * Strong hands\-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms. * Demonstrated experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in production environments. * Experience supporting cloud\-hosted applications, deployments, monitoring, and issue resolution. * Strong experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. * Experience with infrastructure/configuration tooling such as Ansible, Octopus, Chef, or Puppet. * Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. * Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern application deployment patterns. * Familiarity with Agile delivery methods such as Scrum or Kanban. **Skills \& Abilities** * Strong troubleshooting and root\-cause analysis capability. * Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and application deployment patterns. * Ability to work effectively across development and IT teams. * Strong written documentation and verbal communication skills. * Ability to identify improvement opportunities and implement practical technical solutions. **Working Conditions** * Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Occasional need to work outside of standard business hours to meet project deadlines or address critical issues. * Some weekend work may be required
