Senior Civil Engineer

**Senior Civil Engineer – Substations** We are seeking an experienced **Senior Civil Engineer** with strong expertise in **substation civil design and construction** to support major power infrastructure developments in the UAE. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, strong site?execution capability, and proven experience delivering high?quality civil works for electrical substations. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead and oversee all civil engineering design and construction activities for substation?related works, including foundations, structures, cable trenches, equipment supports, and site development. * Review and approve civil engineering documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure full compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations. * Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of civil works with electrical and mechanical interfaces. * Provide on\-site technical leadership during construction, ensuring quality control, adherence to schedules, and resolution of technical issues. * Manage contractors, supervise civil works execution, and ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and HSE standards. * Conduct site inspections, progress reporting, and technical evaluations as required. **Qualifications \& Experience** * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). * Extensive experience in substation civil engineering, covering both design and construction phases. * TAQA Certificate of Competency (Civil – Substation) is essential. * Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements within the power transmission and distribution sector. * Demonstrated ability to lead site activities, coordinate with contractors, and manage technical challenges effectively. * Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder?coordination skills.
