Senior Banking & Derivatives Lawyer

**Banking \& Derivatives Lawyer \- Fixed Term 12 month contract** We are seeking a **Banking \& Derivatives Lawyer** to join our client in Dubai on a fixed\-term 12 month in\-house assignment. This role requires a technically strong and commercially minded lawyer with experience in derivatives, treasury, and structured finance. You’ll work closely with internal teams across treasury, finance, and risk to support trading, hedging, and structured product initiatives, ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance. **Key Responsibilities:** • Draft, review, and negotiate **ISDA Master Agreements** , **CSAs** , **GMRAs** , **GMSLAs** , and other derivatives and treasury documentation. • Advise on **hedging strategies** , **structured finance** , and **derivatives\-linked lending transactions** . • Provide legal and regulatory advice on **trading, margining, and netting issues** , ensuring compliance with **EMIR, MiFID, and UAE Central Bank** requirements. • Support the treasury and finance teams on **FX, swaps, repos, and structured product** transactions. • Manage relationships with external counsel and financial counterparties to ensure efficient deal execution and risk mitigation. • Assist in developing internal templates, governance frameworks, and policies around trading and derivatives compliance. **Qualifications:** • 10\+ years PQE, qualified in a **common law or recognised international jurisdiction** . • Strong background in **derivatives, structured finance, and treasury legal work** . • Prior **in\-house experience** within a **bank, investment firm, or financial institution** preferred. • Must have Islamic Finance experience. • Experience with **ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA, and related documentation** essential. • Familiarity with **regulatory regimes** such as **EMIR, MiFID, CFTC, or DFSA** advantageous. • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. **About RAYNE** RAYNE connects high\-calibre legal professionals with leading multinationals, financial institutions, and government entities across the Middle East.
