Senior Accountant

They are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team! **Why Work Here** * Opportunity for progression and development at a global organization * Company and team is growing with tons of opportunity for progression and development. * Flexible working arrangements with strong balance * Competitive Compensation package inclusive of annual bonus and pension match **About the Opportunity** * Manage monthly, quarterly and year\-end financial closes including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and accruals * Perform monthly journal entries to record payroll expenses and liabilities * Reconcile payroll accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies * Reconcile intercompany balances and prepare elimination entries for consolidation * Prepare audit schedules and quarterly consolidated financial statements to facilitate engagements with external auditors to ensure timely close * Assist in the development of annual budgets and prepare variance analysis for management team * Ensure adherence to accounting principles and company policies * Responsible for timely and accurate ad\-hoc reports as needed **About You** * Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field * CPA designation with min 5\-7 years of progressive experience in accounting * Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations * Strong understanding and experience with GAAP regulations * Proven experience with financial reporting, general ledger functions, and the month\-end/year\-end process close * Experience with multi\-currency in global based company * Detail\-oriented and deadline driven with a high degree of accuracy * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team * Self\-driven and result\-driven, continuously looking for process improvement **Salary Range** $85,000 \- $95,000 / year When referencing this job, quote **\#471998** *\-\-\-\-\- DISCLAIMERS \-\-\-\-\-* *This position for employment is for a current vacancy with Highspring’s client.
