**SENIOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT:** * **Experience: External Audit \& Financial Accounting** * **£65,000 \- £80,000 \+ package (incl. 20% bonus, pension etc.)** * **Offices: City of London (3 days WFH)** Pear Talent is representing an Insurance group, who have an excellent opportunity for a **Senior Financial Accountant** in the City. This is a varied role that encompasses reviewing, producing and analysing the results. As a key member of the EMEA finance team, you’ll take ownership of core accounting processes while supporting financial accounting and reporting across multiple entities and be involved in business\-wide Finance change and improvement initiatives. ***Key accountabilities:*** * Manage day\-to\-day general accounting activities including fixed assets, bank, expenses, payroll, intercompany and tax settlements * Support the preparation and delivery of statutory accounts in line with relevant accounting standards * Assist with month\-end and quarter\-end close processes to ensure accuracy and control * Help streamline and improve accounting processes and reporting practices * Partner with FP\&A to provide insights and respond to financial queries * Handle internal and external queries relating to assigned areas * Contribute to wider EMEA finance initiatives and projects ***Required experience:*** The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience in a financial accounting/reporting role and an earlier background in External Audit with a leading Top20 accounting practice would be ideal. * Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) * Good understanding of statutory financial statements (UKGAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting processes * External audit experience (Top20 accounting practice) * Strong team player and ability to multitask. * Able to maintain motivation and deliver quality to tight deadlines without supervision. * Strong communication skills, written and verbal. * Professional, self\-motivated, pro\-active individual, capable of assimilating information quickly in order to be effective in a short period of time. * Ability to operate at all levels of the organisation. * Ability to implement improvements in an environment of change. *If this isn’t for you but you know someone who’d be interested, then why not confidentially recommend them by clicking here http://peartalent.co.uk/spread\-the\-word/.
